Organic soy flakes – a protein rich business
Such skills require careful nurturing and a good upbringing! As proud KoRo parents, we have of course raised our soy flakes organically. But they also make us proud with their inner values: the organic soy flakes have a high fibre content and an impressively high protein content. In 100 g of product there are a whole 41 g of protein. By way of comparison, our organic thin-rolled oats contain 14 g of protein in the same quantity, and the organic spelt flakes 13 g. Only our organic soca flakes provide even more. These are soya flakes from which fat has been removed. They provide an impressive 52 g of protein!
Soo good: vegan and quick soy bolognese
So much talent can be overwhelming, especially when you get it in the concentrated 2 kg advantage pack. So here's the recipe for a quick and delicious vegan bolognese sauce for the house. Tip: The recipe works just as well with our organic soy granules. Makes just the right amount for two people.
Here's how:
- Fry two diced onions and two cloves of chopped garlic in a pan with oil.
- Add a can of strained tomatoes and 250 ml of vegetable stock and season with spices of your choice.
- Add 100 g of soy flakes, cover with a lid and simmer for 10-20 minutes with the lid closed. When the soy flakes are nice and juicy and fully absorbed, they are ready! Now taste again and season with oregano, basil, thyme, salt or pepper if necessary. Enjoy your meal!

You’re absolutely right: sometimes the description on our website can be confusing when it mentions that “crunchy” quality, when in reality, since they’re 100% natural soy flakes (simply processed and cold-pressed), their actual raw texture is quite soft and chewy, very similar to that of traditional oat flakes. If you were looking for a truly crunchy texture for your breakfasts, we recommend checking out our soy protein cereals (available with or without cocoa), which are extruded and super crunchy. But don’t let those 2 kg go to waste! There are excellent ways to give them the crunch you want: if you lightly toast them in a skillet without oil or in the oven for a few minutes, you’ll see how they transform completely, becoming delicious for breakfast or for making your own homemade granola. They’re also a great (and protein-packed) option to add to creams, soups, or to thicken recipes like veggie burgers.
