Ground flaxseeds: great for swelling!
You've probably already discovered that our online shop is full of other fibre-rich products: psyllium husks, partly de-oiled flaxseed flour, our organic seed mix and of course our brown flaxseeds. But why have we crushed these seeds? When crushed, some flax oil escapes from the small seeds and your body can use the seeds a little better. Of course, you can also simply crush whole flax seeds yourself, but we wanted to make it as convenient as possible for you. Flax seeds also swell a little better when crushed. It is best to soak them for a while before consuming them and mixing them into yogurt, quark, porridge or smoothies and enjoying their amazing swelling capacities.
Flax seeds for baking and as an egg substitute
Yes, you read that right! Our flax seeds are not only suitable for refining porridge, cakes, bread, baguettes and bread rolls, but can also serve as a vegan egg substitute. Similar to the chia egg made from chia seeds, simply combine 1 tablespoon of crushed flax seeds with 3 tablespoons of water and let swell for 5 minutes. Your egg substitute is ready!

Climate impact
At KoRo, we analyse the greenhouse gas emissions that are produced during the production of our snacks. These include, among other things, CO2, methane and nitrous oxide.
