How to use our rolled oats

In soups, biscuits, pancakes, waffles, bars, breads, muesli, muffins or hearty and vegan lentil patties as well as burger patties: you can use our oat flakes for almost anything! Can my baby/toddler eat porridge?

As soon as your child starts eating solid food, we have no objections to serving them porridge. Feel free to talk to your doctor if you are unsure.

How should I store KoRo big leaf rolled oats?

To keep your oats fresh for as long as possible, it is best to store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. In their unopened original packaging, they will keep for 12 months. Why store them in a dark place? It's simple: certain vitamins – especially some B vitamins – can be sensitive to light. Although our packaging is transparent, we protect the flakes in storage and during transport with light-proof cardboard boxes, so that they only come into brief contact with light in the shop or at your home. However, this does not affect the stability of the flakes. In fact, protection from oxygen is even more important for preserving vitamins: as soon as you have opened the packet, you should seal it well or transfer the oat flakes to an airtight container. This slows down the natural oxidation process and allows you to enjoy the full quality right down to the last spoonful.

Can my dog, horse or cat eat porridge?

Especially in soaked form, your dog, horse or cat can consume porridge in normal amounts. However, it is best to talk to your veterinarian about this again.

What can I do with KoRo's oats?

How are seeded rolled oats made?

Big leaf rolled oats are made from whole oat kernels. These are moistened and then rolled out by a so-called flaking roller. Then they are dried again to taste particularly firm to the bite and crunchy.
