The biggest difference from oat flakes as we know them comes from a special step in the process. This is what they undergo before the oat grains are rolled into flakes. Before this happens, the oat flakes are germinated in a gentle process under strictly controlled humidity and temperature conditions, and dried at a maximum of 42°C, which preserves the raw food quality. The result is germinated oatmeal with a unique taste.

Do not "acidify" but stay alkaline in balance with germinated oatmeal from Koro!

I am an acid-base consultant and fasting companion. I always lead alkaline fasting groups in spring and fall. For an alkaline breakfast, I recommend sprouted oatmeal to my clients. Germinated oatmeal is very difficult to get in Austria. Therefore I recommend Koro!

Too many whole grains

Unfortunately too many unopened or whole oats in it so that it even interferes with eating I used to order the ones from Taiga but I wanted to look for a cheaper alternative but will probably stick with the ones from Taiga

Delicious alkaline alternative to normal oatmeal

I wanted to test the sprouted oat flakes as an "alkaline" alternative to normal oat flakes. There is hardly any difference in taste. As a porridge, the consistency sometimes takes a bit of getting used to because there are sometimes hard shells. Soaked overnight as overnight oats, however, they work great as a healthy and delicious breakfast!
