There are only four countries in total that are dedicated to a larger production of Brazil nuts: Brazil, Bolivia, Ivory Coast and Peru. In 2017, 84,089 tons of Brazil nut kernels were harvested worldwide. In the previous ten years, the world harvest had been between 80,000 and 100,000 tonnes each.
