For our date syrup, we use 100% dates of the popular deglet nour variety. The fruits grow in subtropical areas and are characterised by a honey-sweet taste. The best thing is: the dates for our date syrup come from controlled organic cultivation.

Whether in herbal and fruit teas, as a sweet addition to chai lattes or as a gentle component in chocolatey cocoa - with just a teaspoon of date syrup you can give warm drinks a very special touch. Yes, date syrup is plant-based and therefore 100% vegan. No artificial additives, such as colourings or preservatives, are used.

Is date syrup suitable for diabetics?

People with diabetes should take care to keep their blood sugar levels as constant as possible. The fructose contained in date syrup causes these levels to rise. If you are diabetic, you should only use date syrup in small amounts. If you are unsure, it is best to talk to your doctor about it.

Is date syrup healthy?

Above all, a balanced and varied diet is healthy. We therefore find it difficult to classify foods as healthy or unhealthy per se. As always, ‘balance is key!’ Our date syrup can also be part of such a diet as an alternative to conventional table sugar.

How should I store the date syrup and how long does it keep?

It is best to store organic date syrup in a cool, dry place. This way, it will keep for at least 24 months from the date of production.

How is date syrup produced?

To make date syrup, the dates are first cooked, then pitted and gently pressed. The juice obtained in this way is then filtered under heat – and the liquid sweetener is ready!

What makes this date syrup so special?

Our date syrup is made from 100% dates and contains no artificial additives such as colourings or preservatives. We use Deglet Nour dates, which have a slightly malty, pleasantly sweet taste and a hint of vanilla. The caramel-like, mildly buttery aroma is also found in our date syrup.
