What is buckwheat pasta made of?

Buckwheat pasta is made of one ingredient:  sprouted buckwheat. Sprout here, sprout there, sprout everywhere! Nuts, seeds, sprouts - nothing is safe from the trend any more. But what does that actually mean? For seeds to germinate, they are soaked in water. In the process, they soak up water and become soft. Basically, this is not a new phenomenon, because seeds, grains, nuts and seeds were already soaked in water in the past. Our whole grains were gently dried under raw food conditions after the germination process. Since we grind the whole grain, the complete components of the grain are also preserved.

Quickly prepare buckwheat noodles 

Once placed in boiling water with salt, the fusilli are al dente in a cooking time of 7-8 minutes. That's much faster than conventional pasta varieties and therefore qualifies for quick hunger! Our organic sprouted pasta must be cooked in boiling water with a little salt for 3-4 minutes.
Our sprouted bionoodles are gluten-free. This is because the pasta consists only of buckwheat and flaxseed flour.
Per head, calculate about 100 grams of raw pasta for a main course.
The uncooked fusilli contain 370 kcal per 100 g. With the cooked fusilli, of course, this figure changes again, because then they have absorbed water.
Before further processing, we let the seeds germinate. This means that they are placed in water so that the seeds absorb the water and become soft. After the germination process, the seeds are gently dried under raw food conditions. Means concretely that the drying lasts 16 hours, at about 60 degrees Celsius.
The fusilli, often called spirelli or spiral noodles, can absorb sauces particularly well due to their shape. That's why we think they're perfect for your pasta salad or classic pasta with tomato sauce! And we all know - the pasta that drips with sauce is the best!
Yes, this product is also suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets, since we make the fusilli with 75% sprouted buckwheat flour and 25% golden flaxseed flour.

Well digestible

Let them cook for 5 minutes...after 4 they were still a bit too firm for me. The consistency is quite excellent for a gluten-free pasta and no floury taste. However, the smell of musty socks takes some getting used to. The sauce should therefore be a little spicier or stronger in flavor 😅.
My child did not like to eat them.

Look good, hardly any breakage from transport. Larger noodles in the spiral than the red lentil noodles here.



Best buckwheat noodles

I have tested my way through many gluten-free pastas. Due buckwheat noodles are by far the best there is.




Once I put the pasta in my pot of boiling water (basically as written on the site's preparation description) there's a big sort of foam that forms after a minute, it's supposed to be healthy but it's weird this foam that comes out we don't know what chemical crap you're up to but anyway I threw it all in the garbage can (2kg) waste of money and time, never again

Hello Bural, Thank you for your comment. As indicated in our list of ingredients, our pasta contains only sprouted buckwheat flour and organic flaxseed flour: there are no additives. The foaming that occurs during cooking is quite normal, as it's the starch molecules that react to heat and water. It's a great pity that you threw the pasta away, as there was nothing abnormal or dangerous in our product. Sincerely, the KoRo team
