What is the shelf life of KoRo coconut milk?

Contrary to what you might think, our coconut milk is not a sun worshipper. To optimize the shelf life of the aromatic coconut milk, you should store the unopened can protected from light at room temperature. The minimum shelf life is 24 months from the date of production in the original sealed package. Once opened, it goes with the rest of the coconut milk in a non-metallic container off into the refrigerator. Then you have about three days to use up the coconut milk.

Can you freeze coconut milk?

In principle, you can freeze our coconut milk. You can portion it wonderfully in ice cube containers and store it in the freezer. When you use it afterwards as a smoothie ingredient, you can look forward to a wonderfully creamy consistency!

Three times coconut, but totally different: Coconut water is the clear liquid found inside the fruit. It is often drunk pure or used in cocktails. Coconut milk is first extracted from the flesh of the fruit. The solid that has settled on the surface of many a can of coconut milk is coconut cream (also called coconut cream). It is formed when the fat of the coconut milk separates from the water again after a time.

What do I do if my coconut milk is solid?

Don't worry, this is completely normal! The solid that has settled on the surface of your can is coconut cream (also called coconut cream). It is formed when the fat of the coconut milk separates from the water after a while. As soon as you warm up the coconut milk, the two ingredients combine again. Or you can shake the can well before opening it. This way, the somewhat thicker cream combines with the coconut water again and you get a creamy, thick coconut milk!

Can I use coconut milk to lose weight?

Losing weight usually requires a healthy calorie deficit. The German Nutrition Society recommends a combination of dietary changes, behavioral changes and an increase in physical activity. At this point, however, you should bring a nutritionist on board. It is clear that our coconut milk is not a miracle cure. However, you can easily incorporate it into your diet.
