How is organic coconut oil produced?

Our organic coconut oil is cold pressed and differs from industrially produced refined coconut oil in its quality. We use only fruits from controlled organic cultivation. Particularly important in cold pressing is the rapid processing of freshly harvested coconuts to avoid contamination or spoilage of the valuable pulp and to ensure a pleasant taste. Thus, without long storage, the fruit is opened by hand, peeled, crushed into pieces and immediately pressed. The organic coconut oil thus obtained is refined, bleached nor deodorized. We also deliberately avoid chemical additives and preservatives - the organic coconut oil is only filtered and bottled on site.

Can you use coconut oil for frying?

Yes, conventional oil can be replaced with our heat-resistant coconut oil. It is popular in Asian cuisine, but can also add a subtle coconut touch to other creations.

Is coconut oil alkaline?

Yes, coconut oil is metabolized alkaline.

What is the difference between coconut puree and coconut oil?

The difference lies in the production or extraction. Coconut puree is produced by grating, drying and grinding the white pulp of the nuts. For coconut oil, the crushed, dried pulp is pressed, refined and deodorized. Coconut oil thus contains only the filtered fat portion of the nut and coconut puree corresponds to the contents of the pure coconut.

How do I store coconut oil?

It is best to store coconut oil in the kitchen cabinet at room temperature. Coconut oil does not need to be stored in the refrigerator.

Is organic coconut oil low in cholesterol?

Coconut oil is completely free of cholesterol and is suitable for low cholesterol diets.

Is coconut oil vegan?

Coconut oil is made from 100% coconuts and is therefore completely vegan. You can use it as a substitute for butter for baking and cooking. However, note that to substitute 100 grams of butter, you should use 60 grams of coconut oil and 2-3 tablespoons of water.

How to make deodorant from coconut oil?

To make a coconut oil-soda deodorant, simply mix 3 tsp coconut oil, 2 tsp baking soda and 2 tsp potato starch. Mix the ingredients with a spoon - ready is the natural deodorant from only three ingredients!
