How are the roasted cashews made?

Did you know that botanically, cashews are not really nuts at all? The cashew fruit contains kernels, which are known to us as cashews. During harvesting, the cashew apple is removed from the stem of the plant and the kernel is freed from the shell. Our cashews remain completely natural and are then kettle-fired with sugar and a pinch of salt until a delicious crunchy caramel glaze forms.

Can I eat cashew nuts during pregnancy?

Even during pregnancy you can eat cashews without any problems. Since our cashews are burned in sugar, you should be especially careful in case of gestational diabetes not to consume too much sugar and allow yourself small amounts of sweets.

How can I make roasted cashews myself?

To caramelize cashews yourself, you don't need a complicated recipe. All you need are a few whole and untreated cashews and a little raw cane sugar. Simply caramelize the sugar in a pan over heat with a little water and toss the cashews in, stirring constantly. Alternatively, you can glaze the nuts in the oven or microwave. If you want to avoid refined sugar, you can also use alternatives such as honey or agave syrup. If the mess in the kitchen is too big for you, you can simply use our ready-made roasted cashews. They taste at least as good!

How many calories are in the roasted cashews?

100 g of our roasted cashews with Salted Caramel contain 512 kcal. With a fat content of 26 g per 100 g, the caramelized cashews contain less fat than the other glazed nut varieties in our range.

So you never have to choose between salted and sweet nuts again, we combine the best of soft-buttery nuts and salty-sweet caramel with our roasted cashews. How do I store the glazed cashews?

To keep the roasted cashews as long as possible, it is best to store them in a cool and dry place and protect them from direct sunlight. This way, the sugar glaze stays fresh and crunchy for a long time.

Are the roasted cashews suitable for dogs?

No, our glazed cashew nuts should not be distorted by dogs. The nuts contain household sugar, which can be harmful to dogs. So if your dog has plundered the whole package of caramel nuts, it's best to consult a vet.
