Plums and damsons: what is the difference?

You are probably asking yourself: are plums and damsons the same thing? Not quite, but they are related – more precisely, damsons are a subspecies of plums. Damsons are more elongated and have a bluish-purple skin, while plum varieties come in red, yellow, blue, purple, green and black. However, for simplicity, we use the two terms here interchangeably!

Kann mein Baby das Zwetschgenmus von KoRo essen?

Unserer Einschätzung nach können Babys ab 8 Monaten geringe Mengen unseres Zwetschgenmus zu sich nehmen. Allerdings hat jedes Kind unterschiedliche Bedürfnisse. Hole bitte vorher fachärztlichen Rat ein, denn wir können keine ärztliche Expertise ersetzen.

Ist das Zwetschgenmus vegan?

Klar! Da unser Fruchtmus aus 100 % Zwetschgen besteht, ist es für die vegane Ernährungsweise geeignet.

Püree, Mus, Mark – was ist der Unterschied?

Püree und Mus werden oft synonym verwendet, allerdings ist ein Mus meistens minimal feiner und öfter gezuckert als ein Püree. Doch keine Sorge, unserem Zwetschgen-Fruchtmus ist in diesem Fall kein Zucker zugesetzt. Fruchtmark lässt sich leichter unterscheiden: Im Gegensatz zu Mus darf Mark laut Gesetz nicht zusätzlich gesüßt werden. Darüber hinaus hat Mark für gewöhnlich einen geringeren Wasseranteil und ist dadurch dickflüssiger.

Was ist das Besondere am Zwetschgenmus von KoRo?

Das Mus besteht zu 100 % aus unbehandelten, reifen Zwetschgen aus Ungarn. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Produkten ist unserem Zwetschgenmus kein Zucker zugesetzt. Bei uns erhältst Du das Mus im praktischen 800 g-Vorteilspack. Das Zwetschgenmus ist ungekühlt lagerbar, da es schonend eingedickt wurde. Somit ist unser Zwetschgenmus direkt verzehrfertig.

Wie bewahre ich das Fruchtmus auf und wie lange ist es haltbar?

Das Zwetschgenmus sollte an einem trockenen, lichtgeschützten Ort gelagert werden. Im ungeöffneten kann das Glas bei Zimmertemperatur aufbewahrt werden. Nach dem Öffnen solltest Du es in den Kühlschrank stellen und innerhalb weniger Tage verbrauchen. Die Mindesthaltbarkeit beträgt in der ungeöffneten Originalpackung 24 Monate nach Produktionsdatum.
