It is best to store plantain chips in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. They will keep for 15 months in their unopened original packaging.
Of course, the only ingredients in our chips are plantains and coconut oil – that's it! This makes them ideal for a vegan diet.
It's not that complicated: our plantains are first peeled and cut into thin slices of about 2–3 mm. They are then gently fried in coconut oil until crispy and carefully dried. This creates the typical crunch and delicate coconut aroma!
100g of our fried plantain slices contain 490 kcal.
The flavour of our plantain chips is completely natural: the unripe plantains are gently fried in fine coconut oil and then dried. This gives them their crispy bite, a mild, slightly earthy aroma and a delicate coconut note. With no added sugar (contains naturally occurring sugar) or flavour enhancers, the pure banana flavour is preserved – mild, not sweet and simply delicious for snacking, baking or as a topping.

Hey 😕 That sounds really disappointing - and we're sorry that the plantain chips didn't live up to your expectations 🍌💔 Our chips are deliberately made from unsweetened plantains that are fried in sunflower oil - so they're a completely natural product with no additives, just as described on the website. The taste of plantains is very different from the sweet dessert bananas - they are more savory and reminiscent of potato chips, which of course not everyone likes 🤷‍♀️ Of course, it's a shame that they didn't go down well with your kids - but perhaps something else from our snack range would be more suitable 😊 In any case, thank you for your feedback - we'll pass it on internally 💬🍃 Love from the KoRo team 💛📦🍌
