Buy now: Organic soya beans 2kg

Have you already discovered the wonders of soya by yourself, or are you still feeling quite lost in this expanding world of meat substitutes? In both cases, we are here to introduce our latest addition to our selection of soya products. The most versatile meat alternative around, soya-based products can give you incredible vegan Bolognese sauces, lasagna, chilli soups, and so on. And now, with our practical two-kilo bag of soya beans, you can finally unleash your creativity and experiment freely with this fantastic legume!

Where and how does soya grow?

Our soya beans come from certified organic agriculture, and, with 42 g of it per 100 g, they are a wonderful source of plant-based protein; this is why these magic beans are particularly loved by vegetarians and vegans. Protein is crucial for the growth and overall health of our muscles, and, for children, to ensure the strength of their bones during the growth.

How to use and prepare soya

Meat can often easily be replaced with soy: you can experiment with schnitzel, patties, medallions; but even the simple soya beans  and good old tofu are incredible allies in the kitchen! There are so many ways to use this versatile and nutritious bean, not just as a meat replacement. You can try using our beans in soups and stews, just like you would add regular beans to your favourite winter comfort food, but they will shin also in curries and vegetable pans. And, of course, if you are exploring the world of fermentation, you can even try to make your own tempeh! For soya-related inspiration, take a look at our food journal.

Does not have to be again

If these were the first soybeans I bought, I probably wouldn't have bought soybeans to cook with again. They smell a little funny, many are discolored, and many are no longer intact, so you have a lot of loose hull and chunks with them. Neither taste nor texture are like I've seen from other soybeans, they have less flavor and break into crumbs when you bite on them, like legumes that have been open for a while.

Very well packaged and the soybeans have a very good appearance. Is unfortunately not every company so. I'm looking forward to making tofu with it.

Very good soy beans I'll come back to buy again

These soy beans from Koro are fine and do not break apart during soaking in water or boiling process which makes them suitable for making ferments, like Natto. It seams like they arecarefully and gently grown, harvested and dried in acceptable lower temperatures. They might be good for making sprouts too
