Is lupin coffee vegan?

Yes, the lupine coffee is vegan. There is only one ingredient in it: sweet lupine! This is a legume that is grown in Germany for our coffee substitute.

How is the lupine coffee made?

The lupine coffee is made in Germany. In a small roastery, the seeds of the sweet lupine are ground by hand and packaged with love! <3

Is the lupine coffee gluten-free?

Our lupin coffee contains only ingredients that do not naturally contain gluten. Nevertheless, depending on the growing region, unknowingly contamination with gluten-containing grain may occur during harvesting or processing. We therefore do not declare our lupin coffee as gluten-free.

How can I prepare lupine coffee?

We recommend that you prepare the coffee with a filter coffee maker or a French press and use 1-2 heaped teaspoons per cup. However, our customers have also made delicious lupin coffee in the espresso and portafilter machine and in the fully automatic coffee machine!

Is lupin coffee harmful?

When consumed in moderation, lupin coffee is not harmful and is therefore a good alternative for everyday coffee consumption. However, there are people who are allergic to lupins. Thus, these people are also allergic to lupin coffee. So, if you are unsure whether you suffer from lupine allergy, make sure to seek medical advice before consuming it.

Is lupin coffee healthy?

Each:r of us defines healthy and unhealthy differently, because important for a healthy lifestyle is above all a balanced and varied diet. We therefore avoid dividing our products into these categories. As always, "Balance is key!" Our lupine coffee definitely scores with its coffee flavor, which does not require caffeine. No, lupin coffee is made from legumes, namely sweet lupins, and is therefore caffeine-free. So you don't have to get ready for a caffeine kick followed by a low, but get coffee enjoyment without any caffeine at all.

How do I store the lupin coffee and how long is its shelf life?

Your organic lupin coffee is best stored in a cool and dry place that is protected from light. Then it can be stored for at least eight months directly after production.
