Can I drink coffee during pregnancy?

Coffee consumption should be kept in mind in any case. Coffee contains an increased amount of caffeine, which may not be good for the development of the baby. Small amounts of up to 200 mg of caffeine (which is equivalent to about 2 cups of coffee) may be okay during pregnancy. However, it is better to discuss this with your gynecologist in advance. Coffee consumption should also be slightly limited during breastfeeding, as a baby can take a little longer to break down the caffeine absorbed through breast milk, due to the fact that some enzymes are still underdeveloped.

Where do the coffee beans come from?

The Arabica beans for our Bio Crema coffee come from Mexico and Peru, while the small proportion of Robusta comes from India. There, the plants are grown in organic farming.

Accepted Answer

Of course, the caffeine content per cup of coffee again depends on many factors. Robusta beans, for example, have a somewhat higher caffeine content than those of the Arabica variety. In addition, the amount of coffee, the degree of roasting and the preparation method all have an influence on the caffeine content. However, it can be roughly said that a cup of coffee contains between 40 and 120 mg of caffeine.

That depends entirely on whether you own a grinder or not. In general, the fresher the coffee is ground, the more intense and aromatic it tastes.
