Question 1

What is the shelf life of Pumpkin Spice and what is the best way to store it?

Accepted Answer

The Pumpkin Spice spice lasts up to 24 months after production, if you store it in a cool and light-protected place. Important: Always close the opened package tightly! Alternatively, you can store the Pumpkin Pie Spice in an airtight jar such as our Ball Mason Jars.

Question 2

What is Pumpkin Spice spice made of?

Accepted Answer

Our selected Pumpkin Pie spice blend consists of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger with a pinch of allspice and cardamom. Even though the name suggests it, there is no pumpkin in the classic American Pumpkin Spice spice. However, because of its cinnamony and earthy flavor, Pumpkin Spice spice is an ideal match for pumpkin dishes like Pumpkin Pie and Roasted Hokkaido Strips, living up to its name. If you want the full pumpkin experience in your coffee, you can add a tablespoon of pumpkin puree to your latte macchiato alongside our spice blend: Pumpkin and coffee sounds absurd at first, but in the USA it has been the fall drink par excellence for years - and tastes simply heavenly!

Question 3

How can I make Pumpkin Spice Syrup myself?

Accepted Answer

Once you've got your hands on our Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend, you'll be making syrup in no time. The recipe for Pumpkin Spice Syrup is easy: Just mix 1 tablespoon of spice mix with 1 tablespoon of hot water and 1 teaspoon of oil (preferably tasteless, for example our MCT oil). Stir the whole thing and in no time the sugar-free syrup is ready and you can pour it with hot milk or refine your latte macchiato with it.
