And if you are wondering how a mass can get so crispy, here is your answer: the whole thing is done with a process called extrusion – a special term in the food industry that stands for the process of structuring and deforming protein-rich raw materials. The result is, in our case, these small, round, powerful balls. First, all the ingredients are processed into a uniform mass and then heated. Then the mass is compressed in screw presses and pressed through a valve. This ensures that the mass puffs up. Finally, the whole thing is dried - this is how the crispies get their crunchy shape. Where do you source the soy used for the protein crispies?

For our protein crispies, we use soy from a ProTerra-certified supplier in Brazil. This means that fair working conditions, respect for human rights, protection of nature and the absence of genetic engineering are ensured during cultivation. The standard also excludes the deforestation of rainforests.

What do the protein crispies taste like?

The soy protein crispies have a tart cocoa flavour – with no added sugar (they contain natural sugars). They are also wonderfully crunchy and make a great topping for porridge, muesli and anything else that needs an extra crunch.

What do KoRo's soy protein crispies with cocoa consist of?

The crispies consist primarily of soy protein. In addition, there is only a little cocoa powder and tapioca starch - that's it! Totally clear and totally delicious.

How do you get the soy crispies so crunchy?

There is a special process for this. In the food industry, this is called extrusion - shaping and structuring protein-rich raw materials. Do these soy protein crispies with cocoa contain sugar?

Our soy protein crispies are low in sugar. They naturally contain just 0.7 g of sugar per 100 g. This makes them they are a bit more tart in taste. So if you prefer something sweeter, you can try our sweetened soy protein crispies with cocoa.

Are the soy crispies in cocoa vegan?

Yes, it's all vegan baby! The main ingredient in our crispies is soy protein, which is derived from soybeans. In combination with the remaining two ingredients, the protein balls consist of purely vegetable ingredients and are therefore completely vegan.
