Noni fruits grow on Morinda citrifolia, a tree from the coffee family Rubiaceae. It is native of Southeast Asia and Australia, and the species is now cultivated throughout the tropics. Noni fruit is also known as cheese fruit, and is considered to have many health benefits, and has been used for centuries as a treatment for arthritis and abdominal pain. Please note that the recommended daily intake of 2 x 20 ml of juice should not be exceeded.

Noni fruits are known to have quite a strong smell and bitter taste. Some would even say that the taste of the fruit is similar to that of red wine. When turned into juice, the noni gains very caramel-like notes.

Our noni direct juice is made of fruits from certified organic agriculture, and is free from additives.

Our organic noni juice can be stored in its original sealed packaging for at least 24 months from the date of production. It is best to store the juice at room temperature and protected from light. After opening, store in the refrigerator and consume within 28 days.

Der reinste ekelhafteste Albtraum im Glas

Noni-Saft ist mit Abstand das ekelhafteste, was ich je probiert habe. Selbst stark verdünnt mit Wasser oder Orangensaft bleibt der Geschmack und vor allem der Gestank einfach nur widerlich. Der Geruch ist so penetrant, dass er sogar am Glas haften bleibt – und wer davon trinkt, kann sich auf Mundgeruch freuen.

Laut Verzehrempfehlung soll man täglich 2x20ml=40 ml trinken, was bedeutet, dass die 1-Liter-Flasche in 25 Tagen leer ist, wenn eine Person den Saft täglich trinkt. Gleichzeitig soll sie aber innerhalb von 28 Tagen verbraucht werden – passt rechnerisch gerade so, aber der Gedanke, sich das fast einen Monat lang täglich reinzuquälen.

Ich hatte den Saft spontan in den Warenkorb geworfen ohne mich genauer zu informieren, da ich großes Interresse habe neues zu probieren.
Dazu kommt: Noni-Saft ist nicht nur ekelhaft, sondern möglicherweise auch gesundheitlich bedenklich. Es gab Fälle, in denen ein Zusammenhang mit Leberschäden und sogar Hepatitis vermutet wurde. Außerdem enthält das Zeug extrem viel Kalium – gefährlich für Menschen mit Nierenproblemen oder die Medikamente nehmen, die den Kaliumspiegel erhöhen. Positive Wirkungen? Fehlanzeige. Es gibt keine seriöse wissenschaftliche Evidenz für irgendeinen Nutzen.

Fazit: Wer das freiwillig trinkt, braucht entweder medizinische Beratung oder sehr viel Mut – letzteres wird am Samstag auf einer Feier auf die Probe gestellt, wenn das "Wundermittel" als Mutprobe herumgeht.

Excellent juice, excellent value for money

The juice is of excellent quality and the price is very affordable, even more so in this 6-bottle package. The taste is typical of noni, which many, in itself, might not like, but I must say that drunk in the quantities indicated and diluted with plenty of water (effervescent in my case), it becomes a rather pleasant drink. Then again, it is well known that noni juice has a special flavor and is used mainly for its beneficial properties. This one from Ko-Ro is an organic, high-quality product in a glass bottle. I personally think it is excellent!
