Soya crispies with plenty of protein

Our soya crispies are real protein bomb. They have 60g of protein for 100g of product, so they play in the premier league of protein snacks! This is mainly due to the soya protein, obtained directly from the soybeans. Now, you must be wondering how a mass can become so crispy? Easy: The whole thing happens through a process called extrusion. This is the technical term in the food industry and describes the process of deforming and restructuring protein-rich raw materials, in our case into small balls. After the resulting mass is produced, it is heated, compressed in screw presses and forced through a valve. This results in a drop of pressure, making the mass inflate and creating the shape in which the product comes to you - the whole process is really exciting!

Climate impact

At KoRo, we analyse the greenhouse gas emissions that are produced during the production of our snacks. These include, among other things, CO2, methane and nitrous oxide.
