We can already tell that you are particularly curious today! After harvesting, fruit flesh residues are removed with the help of a water rinse and subsequently dried. In the second step, a water bath is used to make the ripe pistachios sink to the bottom. Unripe pistachios remain on the water surface. Following another drying process, the pistachios are transported to silos where they are stored. Small but important info: The drying process causes the pistachio shell to crack, making them easier to eat.

You can make your pesto last a little longer by smoothing it out in the jar with a clean spoon and covering it with a layer of olive oil. This prevents oxygen or other environmental influences from reaching the pesto.

Unopened, our green pesto feels at home in a cool and dry place protected from light and has a minimum shelf life of 12 months. However, as soon as you want to enjoy pistachio pesto and open the 190 g jar, the pesto should be stored in the refrigerator and preferably consumed within 7 days.
