Recipes with sunflower seeds butter

The sunflower seed puree tastes breathtakingly good as a pure spread; but there are many other ways to use it! You can mix the cream with date paste and vanilla to make a nutty-sweet spread, or add it to your smoothies for an extra creamy texture, and to your salad dressing a hearty note. Weite Sonnenblumenfelder in Bulgarien

Wir beziehen die Sonnenblumenkerne für unser Mus aus Bulgarien. Das Land in Osteuropa ist auch als Land der Sonnenblumen bekannt: Wer im Sommerurlaub auf den bulgarischen Autobahnen unterwegs ist, sieht weite gelbe Felder links und rechts.

Aussaat erst bei warmen Temperaturen

Die Sonnenblume liebt die Wärme – bei Frost allerdings streikt sie. Also beginnt die Ausaat erst, sobald die kalten Temperaturen zu Ende sind. Die Pflanzen schießen schnell in die Höhe und sind heliotropisch: Das heißt, die Sonnenblume richtet ihre Blüte stets der Sonne entgegen. Die Blume verfolgt die Sonne tagsüber von Osten nach Westen. In der Nacht dreht sie sich einmal, um die aufgehende Sonne im Osten zu begrüßen.

Ernte der Sonnenblumenkerne ab August

Welke Sonnenblumen haben erstmal kein gutes Omen – sind aber zum Zeitpunkt der Ernte erwünscht. Sobald die Samen in der Mitte schwarz verfärbt sind, lassen sich die Sonnenblumenkerne leichter lösen.

Zu einer Creme vermust

Nach der Ernte werden die Sonnenblumenkerne gewaschen, sortiert und mit ihrer Schale geröstet. Anschließend werden die Sonnenblumenkerne in riesigen Maschinen schonend zu einer Creme vermust.

What is the sunflower puree made of?

Our sunflower seed puree lives up to its name: The puree consists of 100% organic sunflower seeds. Since we do not add any preservatives, sugar additives or emulsifiers to the sunflower seed puree, some oil may settle on the surface after opening the jar. Then just put it in with a teaspoon, stir properly - and don't forget to lick the spoon at the end.

How do I store the sunflower puree and how long is the shelf life of the cream?

Your giant jar of sunflower seed puree will keep for at least 16 months after production. It is best to store the puree in a cool and dry place. After opening, you should put the jar of sunflower puree in a cool place.
