Los geht es natürlich auf dem Feld: Die glockenförmigen Rispen der Haferpflanze blühen im Juli goldgelb auf den Feldern und werden dann reif geerntet. Hauptanbaugebiete von Hafer sind Irland, Deutschland, Schottland, Wales, Nordfrankreich, Südschweden, aber auch Nordamerika und Westasien. Jetzt aber ab in die Produktion, wir haben nämlich Hunger!

Von Cookie Dough und Naschereien

Am Anfang eines jeden guten Haferkekses steht der Cookie Dough! Unser Hafer wird mit pflanzlicher Margarine und weiteren leckeren Zutaten in einem Riesen-Mixer zu einer karamell-süßen Versuchung vermixt. Wusstest Du, dass Hafer ernährungsphysiologisch die vielseitigste Getreideart ist, die in Mitteleuropa angebaut wird? Und das in Deinem Keks! Wir geben derweil unser Bestes, nicht schon vorab vom Teig zu naschen.

Die Haferkekse in Form bringen

Unsere Keksmischung ist bereit für die Produktionslinie: Einmal rein und raus aus der Drahtschneidemaschine, damit kommt der Teig so richtig in Form. Gleich wird’s heiß, es geht Richtung Ofen!

Frisch gebacken

Unser Keks wird für 15 Minuten im Ofen gebacken und darf dann erstmal einmal etwas auskühlen – dabei duftet das frische Gebäck im Übrigen herrlich! Hafer punktet aber nicht nur in Sachen Geruch und Geschmack, sondern enthält auch viele wertvolle Ballaststoffe. Wer könnte da schon Nein zu einem Haferkeks sagen?!

Vegane Haferkekse in der Satteltasche

Haferkekse hatten übrigens schon die Engländer in der Satteltasche, als sie gegen Rom kämpften. Die Römer verspotteten das Getreide damals als Pferdefutter, merkten aber schnell, dass die Engländer sie (wortwörtlich) ganz schön auf’s Korn nahmen. Und auch bei uns wandern die Kekse so langsam in Deine (Sattel-)Taschen. Im letzten Schritt werden die Kekse in ihren schicken KoRo-Karton verpackt, bevor sie sich auf den Weg zu Dir machen!
