Recipes with buckwheat flakes

Before we get to how versatile and amazing our organic rolled buckwheat is, let us take care of that question mark on your forehead: what is buckwheat? Buckwheat is a pseudo-grain because it does not belong to the family of grasses or cereals, but can be used in almost any context in the same way. How? We'll explain that to you now. The best and perhaps most reassuring thing first: You can basically prepare our organic buckwheat flakes in the same way you did your beloved oat flakes. However, buckwheat takes it a step further! The taste is intense, wonderfully nutty, and will elevate your breakfast. We recommend you drizzle your buckwheat porridge with one of our legendary nut butters, or with freeze-dried fruits for that additional crunch. But a delicious porridge is not all our buckwheat can do! You can also bake with it; from juicy bread and cakes, to sweet waffles and pancakes, no goal is too ambitious for it. Our organic rolled buckwheat also have a lot to offer from a nutritional perspective: with 15 grams of protein and 5.9g of fibre per 100 grams, they can help you reach your nutrient goals.

Questions & answers: Organic buckwheat flakes 1,5kg
No search results.
When stored in a cool, dry place in their unopened original packaging, buckwheat flakes have a shelf life of at least 12 months from the date of production.
Buckwheat flakes do not naturally contain gluten. However, depending on the growing region, cross-contamination with gluten-containing grains may occur during harvesting or processing of our organic buckwheat flakes. For this reason, ‘gluten’ is listed as a potential allergen. If you have coeliac disease or are highly sensitive to gluten, you should choose products labelled "<a rel="‘noreferrer" href="https://www.korodrogerie.de/en/navigation/019155ba69db7867ab2e7e32e976c20f">gluten-free</a>", which have been tested to ensure that contamination has been ruled out.
Buckwheat is not a cereal but a genus of plants from the "knotweed" family. The herbaceous plant has heart-shaped leaves, small whitish flowers and triangular fruits that are suitable for consumption and can be processed into flour or flakes.
Unlike oat flakes, buckwheat flakes have an intense nutty flavour. They are also a source of protein (15g /100g) and fibre (5.9g /100g). KoRo's buckwheat flakes are 100% organically grown and contain no flavourings, colourings or preservatives. With this practical value pack, you can ensure you have enough for a while!
For this purpose, hulled buckwheat is used, which is cleaned and soaked in advance. Then this is heated and flattened into flakes.
Yes, our buckwheat flakes are organically grown.

Contains indestructible lectins

I bought this product by mistake, thinking it was made from sprouted buckwheat. Even if it had been, buckwheat contains indestructible lectins, even when pressure-cooked, according to Dr Gundry, a leading specialist in lectins and gut health. This product, which I used to replace flour in a cake, boosted my health problems.

A delicious gluten-free product that meets your needs!

When cooked, it becomes very mushy and has very little texture; it could use more. The taste and quality are excellent when prepared using other methods!

It's good if you know how to use them.

I like mild, slightly nutty flavors with a texture that ranges from delicate to slightly firm.

Excellent and highly recommended

Sometimes I just snack on them, but I prefer to eat them with Barista oat milk

Delicious in bread or cereal

We mix the flakes into our muesli and use them in bread dough—they taste great, but you shouldn't use too much. It's great that they sell large packages here, which are perfect for big families!
