What is the difference between this product and KoRo's other pistachio spread?

Attentive KoRo fans may have already noticed: We now have a second pistachio cream in our lineup. Both are wonderfully smooth, 100% plant-based, and contain absolutely no palm oil. The subtle difference lies in the recipe: The other version has an even higher pistachio content at 60%, is lightly salted, and is sweetened with regular sugar. It is also not certified organic and comes in a larger 350g jar. Which one suits you best? Try them out for yourself and find your favorite!

How are pistachios turned into pistachio spread?

Basically, it’s a combination of patience and the right ingredients. First, the pistachios are shelled and gently roasted to bring out their full flavor. Then they’re ground until a fine paste forms. To turn this into a true cream, additional selected ingredients and rice syrup are added. Everything is blended until this incomparably smooth, spreadable texture is achieved. Theoretically, you could try this at home with a high-powered blender—but let’s be honest: We’ve already figured out the ideal mixing ratio for you, so you can dive right in with a spoon.

How should I store the pistachio spread and how long does it keep?

It’s best to store the cream in a cool, dry place away from light. In its unopened original packaging, it has a shelf life of 12 months. Once opened, you should use the cream within 21 days—but that shouldn’t be a problem, right? By the way: A natural layer of nut oil may form during storage. Don’t worry, this is completely normal and doesn’t affect the quality. Just grab a spoon and give it a good stir!
