What exactly is caramel?

Most people like the taste of sweet caramel, but we would like to say that some of you don't know what caramel is or how it is made. Let's clarify: Caramel, borrowed from the French "caramel" or Spanish "caramelo", means nothing other than "burnt sugar" and is made (usually) by heating granulated sugar. The caramel flavour became well-known through the popular crème brûlée dessert (which means "burnt cream" in English). And you will also find some caramel treats in our shop, such as our almonds covered in caramel and chocolate or sweet peanut and caramel clusters.

How our caramel coffee is produced and how you should prepare it

We use Arabica beans for our ground organic coffee. The aromatic beans are roasted for 16-18 minutes to a final temperature of approx. 200 °C. After that, the small beans get a day's rest before they are finely ground and manually mixed with powdered caramel flavouring. And now for the preparation: We recommend using 7-8 g of powder per cup of 125 ml water. Of course, you can adjust the dosage according to your taste. Our caramel coffee has a particularly fine grind. It feels particularly good in a filter coffee machine or French press, where it can develop its full aroma.

How is the caramel coffee made?

Is flavored coffee unhealthy?

At KoRo, we don't like to divide food into "healthy" and "unhealthy" categories. Because healthy is first and foremost a balanced and varied diet and a corresponding lifestyle. The tolerance of coffee can vary greatly, so as always: 'Balance is key!'!

How do I store the flavored coffee and how long is its shelf life?

It is best to store the coffee in a cool and dry place. In the original sealed packaging, it has a shelf life of at least 9 months.
