Real foodies aren’t just interested in the contents, but also in the packaging of their favourite product – and our flow pack is something to be proud of! Our flow packs consist of two layers of the same plastic (polypropylene), supplemented by a wafer-thin layer of aluminium vapour-deposited on the inside. And by that we really mean wafer-thin: for every part of aluminium, there are usually around 1,300 parts of plastic. So in the flow pack, the aluminium content is less than 0.1%. But the benefit is anything but tiny: the shiny finish acts as a light barrier and, together with the plastic, ensures that your snack still tastes delicious even after a long wait. As the material is extremely light, weighing just 1 to 8 grams, we deliberately use it for our smaller portions.

Is your package empty? Then pop it in the recycling bin! As the aluminium layer is so thin, the bag can be treated as pure plastic during the recycling process. This means our flow pack is fully recyclable.

Our protein bars contain no added sugar: the vanilla cookie dough-flavoured protein bar is sweetened with sweeteners such as maltitol. Consuming foods that contain maltitol instead of refined sugar means that blood sugar levels rise less sharply after consumption than when eating foods sweetened with sugar. However, maltitol does affect blood sugar levels and, if consumed in large quantities, can have a laxative effect. As a diabetic, you can therefore buy these protein bars, but we generally advise enjoying everything in moderation and consulting a doctor when there are any questions.

How should I store these protein bars and how long do they keep?

You should store the protein bar in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. In its original packaging, it will keep for at least 12 months. For ultimate freshness in summer, you can also keep the chocolate protein bar in the fridge and enjoy it chilled.

Is the crispy cookie dough and vanilla style protein bar gluten-free?

Our protein bar consists solely of ingredients that are naturally gluten-free. However, unintentional cross-contamination with cereals may occur during production, which is why we do not label the bar as gluten-free.
