Afternoon slump? We’ve got just the thing: energy balls with guarana. These chocolatey bites are quick to make and the perfect sweet snack for in between meals. Dates, almonds and rolled oats combine to create a wonderfully moist mixture that’s really easy to roll into balls. And on top of the flavour, you also get some caffeine into you: thanks to our guarana powder – a natural coffee alternative from Brazil – these balls naturally pack a decent caffeine punch. Finally, roll them in dark chocolate or cocoa powder (optional) and sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top – and your snack is ready for your break or for on the go.

Ingredients for
1 Pinch
Vanilla
1 Pinch
Salt
0.5 Tsp.
Cinnamon
1 handful
Chocolate, dark

Step 1/4

Finely grind the rolled oats in a food processor. Add the dates and almonds and chop them coarsely.

Step 2/4

Add the almond butter, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, guarana powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt, and blend everything into a sticky, mouldable mixture. If it’s too crumbly, simply work in a little more almond butter or coconut oil.

Step 3/4

Shape the mixture into 12 small balls and roll them in the remaining 2 tbsp cocoa powder or melted dark chocolate, as desired.

Step 4/4

Top with pyramid salt and leave the energy balls to set in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
