What is the difference between rolled oats, oat bran and oat kernels?

Rolled oats are made by rolling out the oat kernels: thin rolled oats are a result of the crushing of the kernels, for a more tender result. In the case of oat bran, on the other hand, only the outer layer that encloses the endosperm and the germ of the oat grain is used, which is then ground into a coarse powder.

Are these oat kernels vegan?

Yes of course! Since it is only oats, they are naturally 100% vegan.

What is the protein content of these oats?

Our oat groats provide you with 11 g of protein per 100 g and are therefore a good source of protein.

Is this oat gluten-free?

While oats are naturally gluten-free, cross-contamination may have occurred in our product. Therefore, these oat kernels can not be labelled as gluten-free and we discourage people with gluten intolerance or celiac disease to consume them.

Are these oat groats organic?

How do I store oat grains and how long do they keep?

It is best to store the oat kernels in a cool, dark place. Under optimal conditions and unopened in the original packaging, they will keep for at least 12 months.

How are oat groats produced?

The grain is harvested in late summer, then cleaned and sieved. The oats are then dried at 90°C and finally the husks, which enclose the oat kernels as protection, are removed.
