Plant-based Köttbullar without the bland cafeteria vibes: Our vegan meatballs bring real bite and flavor to your plate. We put a fresh spin on the Swedish classic with juicy seitan, refined with a touch of mustard, and served with a creamy almond butter sauce. Leave those sad, shriveled ready-made meals on the supermarket shelf. Heat up the pan, turn up the stove, and make your own Köttbullar!

250 g seitan steak
2 tbsp. tomato paste
2 tbsp. mustard
1 Pinch salt
1 Pinch pepper
1 Pinch herbs to taste
1 Tsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. starch
2 tbsp. oats
1 tbsp. oil
50 g almond butter, brown
1 water
1 lingonberry jam
  • Step 1/4

Roughly chop the seitan steak and add it to a food processor together with the tomato paste, mustard, 1 tsp soy sauce, starch, rolled oats, oil, salt, pepper, and herbs. Process the ingredients until you have a firm, shapeable mixture.

  • Step 2/4

Shape the mixture into small balls. Bake the Köttbullar at 180°C fan oven for 20–30 minutes, or pan-fry them in a little oil until golden brown.

  • Step 3/4

Remove the finished balls from the pan. Add water, brown almond butter, soy sauce (to taste), salt, and pepper to the same pan and stir thoroughly. Let the sauce simmer over low heat until it thickens slightly.

  • Step 4/4

Köttbullar zusammen mit der cremigen Mandelmus-Soße, frischen Kräutern und etwas Preiselbeermarmelade anrichten. Guten Appetit!
