We’ve officially given boring green beans a glow-up! The secret? Creamy tahini, crispy chili oil for just the right spice, and panko for that perfect crunch. These green beans are about to become your new favorite side!

400 g green beans
80 g organic tahini
1 UNIT small clove garlic, grated
1 Tsp. fresh ginger, grated
1.5 Tsp. organic soy sauce
1 tbsp. rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
1 Tsp. organic agave syrup
1 Tsp. organic sesame oil
5 tbsp. water, warm
40 g panko (or breadcrumbs)
1 Whole shallot, small
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 Tsp. organic sesame seeds
1.5 tbsp. crispy chili oil
1 to taste spring onions
1 to taste cilantro, fresh
  • Step 1/4

Trim the ends of the green beans. Cook in boiling salted water for 6–8 minutes until tender-crisp, or steam. Drain and let steam off briefly.

  • Step 2/4

Stir together tahini, crispy chili oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until smooth. Stir in warm water until a creamy sauce forms.

  • Step 3/4

For the topping: Finely dice the shallots. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté shallots until translucent. Add breadcrumbs and sesame seeds and toast until golden and crispy. Remove the pan from the heat.

  • Step 4/4

Toss the beans with the sauce, plate, and sprinkle generously with the shallot topping. Garnish with spring onions or coriander, if desired.
