Snack sharing: Why some snacks should be shared
My snack becomes our snack. While it can seem strange for some of us, this sentence sums up the 2026 food trend: we don't get nervous anymore when someone else "steals" some of our snacks, because the snacks are made to share from the first moment. Food sharing is currently the food trend par excellence – and to be honest, that doesn’t surprise us. In a world that feels as though it’s run entirely digitally, shared, authentic experiences have become a real luxury. We want genuine connection again. And nothing brings us together around a table as quickly as good food. Today, mindful enjoyment means not just being able to share food, but above all the moments behind it.
That’s exactly why we’ve put together our five favourite shareable snacks for you to enjoy in these moments. Ready? Pass the bag!
1. Public viewing & nervous moments
Everyone is glued to the screen, the seconds tick by, and breathing is the last thought on our minds. There’s only one thing that helps: a good snack to help settle the nerves. You need football snacks that you can grab blindly with one hand from the bowl, whilst the other hand keeps its fingers crossed.
Snack of choice: Roasted and salted bean & pea mix
Why it is great for sharing:
- Colourful snack selection: Whether it’s edamame, black soya beans, classic soya beans, green peas or broad beans – there’s something to delight everyone here. Even if you reach into the bowl without looking.
- The crunch factor: Simply crunch away the tension during the penalty shoot-out.
- Large pack: Its important to have a snack that will last through extra time too.
2. Roadtrip & passenger duties
As we all know, whoever rides shotgun bears the greatest responsibility for the whole trip: putting together a good playlist, keeping an eye on the route and – most importantly – making sure everyone has enough to eat. As soon as the first stomach starts to rumble in the car, your moment to shine arrives. What you need now is something simple that can be passed from front to back with minimal fuss and, above all, without causing a mess.
Snack of choice: Mini cookies in pistachio, caramelized almond and peanut-chocolate flavours.
Why they are great for sharing:
- Crumb-free: One bite and they’re gone! As they’re nice and small and bite-sized, there’s absolutely no crumbly mess on the seats and the driver can stay relaxed and focus on driving.
- Filling oats: You’re not just nibbling on wafer-thin biscuits that you’ll have forgotten about in two seconds. Thanks to their oat base, they’re nice and filling, so you won’t be reaching for more snacks immediately after.
- One bag for everyone: No matter who’s in the car with you – as our mini biscuits are completely organic, vegan and gluten-free, absolutely everyone can enjoy them.
3. The communal picnic
In summer, one of the best ways to get together is a picnic in the park. The only problem is that, as is often the case, everyone ends up sitting on the blanket with exactly the same store bought hummus and three baguettes. Time for you to save the day and take the snack game to the next level all on your own.
Snack of choice: Organic cashews with olive and rosemary
Why they are great for sharing:
- The antipasti shortcut: Can’t be bothered to lug olives, feta and the like along? This mix gives you the full Mediterranean flavour straight from the bag. An aperitivo doesn’t get any quicker than this.
- Make an impression: Anyone can bring salted peanuts as a party snack. With this combination, you’ll bring a slightly different treat to the blanket that’s guaranteed to surprise your friends.
- Your drink pairing: Whether it’s a zesty pomegranate and mint drink, some dry wine or a rhubarb lemonade – the spiced hint of rosemary and olives simply goes with any good drink.
4. The little get together with friends that stretches into the night
You just wanted to meet up for a quick drink, but suddenly it’s two in the morning. Whether it’s a long-planned aperitivo or an unexpected deep chat: when the hours fly by, you need a snack that can keep up with any topic. Because everyone knows the best time to chat is when there’s something to snack on between words.
Snack of choice: dark choc and raspberry duo
Why it is great for sharing:
- Two is better than one: each pack contains exactly two duos. So you don’t have to bother with portioning it out – just pass the second half straight over to your favourite person.
- The late-night upgrade: Crunchy dark chocolate meets a fruity raspberry filling – the ideal, sophisticated partner to any conversation.
- More is more: Because, as we all know, variety is the spice of life when it comes to sharing, these little chocolates are also available in an orange flavour or as a protein duo with pistachio and white chocolate.
5. A (highly competitive) board game night
It’s all or nothing: the Yahtzee dice are rolling, the controllers are heating up and the Monopoly notes are piling up. The last thing you need in this cut-throat competition is sticky fingers leaving (cheating) marks on the board and cards. This is where strategic snacking comes in!
Snack of choice: Prezel balls
Why they are great for sharing:
- A clean affair: As the balls are baked rather than deep-fried, they’re the ideal snack for your games night. That way, your games stay completely grease-free.
- Your stress reliever: Has someone snatched the hotel on Mayfair right from under your nose? No problem. These little things have the perfect, loud crunch to let you happily crunch away any pent-up gaming frustration.
- The unbeatable classic: Salty, crispy, familiar – everyone simply loves pretzels. With their ball shape, you’re bringing the perfect update to this mainstream favourite to the table.
No more ego snacking!
So, to sum up: this summer, for once, elbowing people away at the dinner table is off. After all, sharing is a joy and brings friends together – provided, of course, that the snacks are enough for everyone (and we’ve already sorted that out here at KoRo).
And let’s be honest: this new sense of togetherness feels far too good to pack away again come autumn. This food trend is quickly turning into a new snacking tradition that’s here to stay. Click through our selection, invite your favourite people and start sharing!
