What is the difference between tamari sauce and soy sauce?

Small soy sauce excursion: Basically, there are 2 different types of soy sauce - Tamari and Shoyu. For cooking we usually use shoyu, this is made from soybeans, sea salt, water and wheat. Tamari is thicker, has a more intense flavor and usually does not contain wheat. The perfect match for our almonds!
