Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Peel and wash the potatoes and cut them into strips about 1 cm thick. Boil them for about 4 minutes.

Remove the potatoes from the water, pat dry with Zewa if necessary and cut into strips. If necessary, cut off the round sides to make rectangular potato slices.

Now score the potato slices: Two chopsticks are best for this (alternatively, two long pens or similar will do). Place two chopsticks lengthwise on each side of a potato slice and score along the short side. The sticks prevent the knife from cutting through the potato and holding one piece together. Then turn the potato slice over and score diagonal strips, again using the chopsticks.
