Our protein bars contain no added sugar: Cookie Dough flavored protein bars are sweetened with sweeteners such as maltitol. Eating foods that contain maltitol instead of refined sugar causes blood sugar levels to rise less after they are eaten than when eating foods sweetened with sugar. Maltitol nevertheless affects blood sugar levels and, when consumed in large quantities, can have a laxative effect. So you can buy as a diabetic:in these protein bars, we still generally advise to enjoy everything in moderation.

How often should I eat protein bars?

We recommend that you eat a protein bar every now and then after a workout, a maximum of one bar per day. In case of excessive consumption, it can have a laxative effect due to the sweeteners it contains.

What side effects can the protein bars have?

We mainly use maltitol to give your chocolate cookie protein bars their pleasantly sweet taste. Maltitol is a sugar alcohol that is harmless to health as long as you consume it in moderation - because maltitol still affects blood sugar levels and can have a laxative effect if consumed in large quantities. So you should not overdo it with the consumption of the chocolate protein bars.

Our Moritz Protein Bar consists only of ingredients that do not naturally contain gluten. However, unknowingly cross-contamination with grains may occur during production, which is why we do not label the bar as gluten-free.
