Our vegan pappardelle are made from 98% rice flour and 2% turmeric  The neutral taste of the flour gives our turmeric plenty of room to develop its flavour: spicy, pleasantly bitter aroma and the yellow-orange eye-catching colour make them a highlight in any pasta recipe! Turmeric - what is it? 

Turmeric belongs to the ginger family and comes from Asia. The tuber is mainly known for its characteristic fragrance, bright yellow colour and intense, spicy flavour. Currys get their great colouring from turmeric and our organic pappardelle also enjoy its aromatic enrichment. Of course, we tested extensively beforehand and then decided on the version with 2  % turmeric content so that the taste is spicy but not too intense or even bitter. 

Prepare pasta in 8-10 minutes

The longer the pasta description, the shorter the preparation: put pappardelle in salted boiling water, cook for 8-10 minutes and they are ready to serve. Typically, pappardelle are served as pasta nests with a hearty ragout, i.e. 'al cinghiale'. Our pappardelle are made from 98% rice flour. This tastes relatively neutral and gives the turmeric plenty of room to develop its flavor. On top of that, the pasta also gets its pretty yellow-orange color. Turmeric tastes spicy and slightly bitter, which is why we don't use too much of it. So you enjoy your pasta with the finest turmeric flavor and not -overload.
We make the pasta dough in Italy from 98% rice flour and 2% turmeric. It is then laminated and rolled until it reaches the right thickness before being cut into smaller pappardelle strips and placed on the drying tray to dry. And that takes a while: 12 to 18 hours is needed for the dough to dry at low temperatures (about 40 °C) and become the delicious pasta you finally have in front of you.
Typically, pappardelle are served as pasta nests with a hearty ragout, or 'al cinghiale'. You can already find a recipe for a vegetarian ragout in our Food Journal. But also in the One Pot Pasta or the colorful pasta pan, the pappardelle moult to the taste and visual highlight.
Put the pappardelle in salted boiling water and check the consistency of the pasta after 8-10 minutes. Then drain the pasta water and your turmeric pasta is ready!

Disappointed

Even after several tries I can't get good pasta. It remains hard and tasteless. I am used to gluten free pasta. Too bad I won't recommend it.

Top of the line pappardelle!

Pappardelle glutenfree rice and turmeric pappardelle excellent in texture, they stay nice and rough so the sauce stays well adhered.
The cooking time is good not to exceed 5min so the pappardelle won't fall apart.
They are delicious plain with a drizzle of oil as accompanied with sauces. I tried them with walnut sauce. Delicious!

These veg and gluten-free pappardelle are really good. Unfortunately, they tend to "fall apart" if you cook them for 8 minutes (as stated on the package); we cook them for 3 to 4 minutes and gently mix them with the sauce or seasoning-this way they don't unravel and stay intact

Wow just good

The gluten-free noodles are great. Boil briefly, dump the water, add coconut milk, a spoonful of red curry and some shaved Parmesan. Simply super. No difference to normal noodles. Thank you very much.

Super lecker!

Finally I have found gluten-free noodles without corn, which still look and taste like "normal" gluten-free noodles. Light turmeric note and not bitter. I cook the noodles 9 minutes and then they are perfect for me.

Great alternative

Delicious even if a little tricky in terms of cooking time and consistency. The first time they are me unfortunately all together gepappt, because I have until the sauce was ready to cool the noodles in a colander. The next time, I put the noodles right into the pan with the sauce and everything was great. For Pad Thai, as a fettuccine substitute, etc. ...
