Raw carrot rösti, perfect as a crispy and spicy snack between meals!

Raw carrot rösti

Chia seeds: one of the most popular superfoods. But always just chia pudding gets a bit boring in the long run. But you don't want to miss out on these wholesome nutrient bombs either. That's why we're introducing you to a delicious cracker here: raw carrot rösti with basil. They are super crispy and pleasantly spicy. The perfect snack alternative to greasy potato chips! Have fun making them.

Ingredients for raw carrot rösti (for about 8 pieces):

  • 500 g grated carrots
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds each
  • dulse flakes and celery salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 date
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 bunch of basil


First mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Then leave the mixture to soak for 10-20 minutes and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Form 8 carrot rösti and leave them to dry on a drying tray for 18-24 hours. After around 12-14 hours, you can bake the carrot rösti until they are nice and crispy. We recommend topping the rösti with fresh salad, vegetables and lots of delicious dressing.
